Effective October 2006, the University thesis requirement is one electronic copy (.pdf only). However, Faculties/departments may have an additional requirement for bound paper copies. Students must submit bound copies to their department as appropriate see section 3.3 of the Thesis Regulations for a list of Faculty/department requirements.

Preparing Your Thesis for Electronic Submission
Thesis are prepared with a variety of applications, (i.e. Word, WordPerfect, LaTex, etc.) all such thesis can be submitted electronically, but are required to be printed to .pdf.

Students who wish to be considered for a tuition refund must
submit a Graduate Student Change of Enrollment Status/Degree Completion/Voluntary

Access to Your Electronic Thesis
Once your thesis has been successfully submitted, the Graduate Studies Office will transfer the .pdf file to the library and the Library and Archives Canada via ProQuest Information and Learning.

Thesis located in this database are publicly available and are linked into the TRELLIS system. Abstracts will be published and made available in the Dissertations Abstract International database.
The Library and Archives Canada has contracted with ProQuest Information and Learning to film thesis for long term preservation.
