Offer of Admission
Quest Admission Status
- your admission status on Quest must be equal to 'Matriculation' before
you can register for any courses or make your tuition fee arrangement
- matriculation takes place approximately one month prior to the admit
term

Course Enrolment
Student Card (WatCard)
- WatCard is your one card to access many facilities and services both
on and off campus, including computer labs, libraries, food, photocopying,
Physical Activities Complex access
- visit the WatCard Office
(Student Life Centre, Lower Level) at the beginning of your academic term
to pick up your student identification card
- you will need to show a valid piece of photo ID (i.e: Driver’s
License, Passport, Canadian Citizenship Card, or another government issued
document with your picture and name)

International Students
- print a copy of your electronic Offer of Admission to apply for your
Study Permit
- you must present your Study Permit (IMM 442), valid for the University
of Waterloo, to the Graduate Studies Office, Needles Hall 2201, upon arrival
to campus
- as an international student, you are automatically enrolled in UHIP
(University Health Insurance Plan) coverage and do not need to complete
an application – unless you are adding a dependent (wife/husband/child)
to your coverage. Additional information can be found online.
- if your dependants (i.e. spouse, child(ren)) will be joining you in
Canada, you must visit the University of Waterloo Student Accounts Office,
Room 1110, Needles Hall within 30 days of their arrival to enrol
them in the UHIP plan. Please bring their passports with you. Enrolling
dependants more than 30 days after their arrival in Canada will result
in a $500.00 penalty fee per dependant plus retroactive premiums charged
to your student account. Additional information can be found on the Student
